BIOGRAPHY
Reon Cheung is a Hong Kong contemporary mixed-media artist. Born in 2001, currently, she is a Year 4 student studying Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. Her previous works mainly focused on sketching and oil painting. Cheung always draws something related to nature as she loves the beauty of the scenery and its atmosphere. Recently, she has been exploring themes of the Japan Tea Ceremony and became determined to convey its pure essence to the audience.
In order to broaden her horizons, Cheung began exploring different mediums. She learned about Illustration, Jewellery, Sculpture, Chinese Painting, Glass Blowing, Graphic Design, and Object Culture during her studies at the University. By delving into various fields, Cheung has gained a shallow understanding of their development and discovered her potential. Throughout this process, She has learned about the requirements of different domains and discerned what suits her best.
Cheung achieved an outstanding performance in The Wharf Hong Kong Secondary School Art Competition in 2018. She has also participated in the Times Square Exhibition in 2018 and the Current Plans Exhibition in 2023.
